Rooms

Bowood Hotel boasts of a total 43 spacious, state-of-the-art bedroom in what is an elegant estate architecture. What often receives a partially partial deal of the attention is the stunning reception rooms, which have been designed by the famous Lady Lansdowne. The receptions, per their design and ambience, do well to make the place - a soft grey hall, book-lined library, and sweeping Shelburne Bar and Restaurant - make for such an elegant yet trendy dining.

The good-sized and comfy bedrooms are nicely decorated in muted tones, and all of them come with great limestone bathrooms, including free-standing walk-in showers as well as baths. In each of these rooms, you will find mod cons such as digital radios, bathrobes, thick towels, and homemade cookies on tea trays.
A more significant number of rooms at the Bowood Hotel are either Classic Courtyard or Classical Parkland, facilities that differ only in the kind of views you can get. Inasmuch as their windows have a mild extent to which they can be open, it’s hardly a problem because all the rooms come with reliable air conditioning. If it’s still an issue, then you may want to book for Luxury Parkland rooms, each of which come with French windows that can open on to a balcony. Well, for those who just want to go to town on this window thing, they can push the boat out by going for half-a-dozen corner large suites.
The painstakingly furnished rooms were designed by the Marchioness of Lansdowne, mirroring an extravagant and modern style that has been influenced by heritage colors as well as the backstory of the Bowood estate. The said bedrooms and suites have been designed in such a way that they never fail to offers guests a perfect night’s sleep, also affording them spacious bathrooms and every other amenity that may be needed. Picture excellent views from the rooms are just about the height of it, which you can relish in while snacking on homemade cookies in a lavishly comfortable bed.
The sublime gardens, which have been designed by Capability Brown, as well as its house are just about 15 minutes away in walking from the hotel rooms.
Guests actually have free access to the house as well as the gardens, but only when they are open to the general public, that's from April to October. Nonetheless, guests can wander to someplace else on the estate and not get lost, thanks to the map with walking trails, wellies, and brollies that are given at Bowood Hotel’s reception. That goes to say that there are lots of places you can just stroll to, whether it’s in the morning or late evening.

Golfing

Thanks to the lush green vegetation and seemingly loud silence in Bowood, Bowood Hotel takes it golfing seriously. The gorgeously landscaped English country estate is home to Bowood’s golf course, which stands as world-renowned ranges. From the looks of it, it’s definitely one of the finest golf courses in Wiltshire and is the PGA official Golf Course for the South West.

The brainchild and finished work of the respected designer Dave Thomas, the breathtaking PGA Course is also ranked and the number one in Wiltshire. The hotel says: “Fly before you drive with our hole by hole flyover guide”. The golf is, in fact, open to visitors, member’s guests and hotel residents in and out of the year.
To say the most, the golf at Bowood is a big draw, while the club’s buildings are extended from an old farmhouse, sitting right alongside the hotel. While there’s an 18-hole championship course, there’s also a three-hole practice and driving range.
Connected to the main hotel is a spa where you can go to get some appealing massage and swim in a large indoor swimming pool or work out in a well-equipped gymnasium - both options greet you with expansive views through glass walls over the golf holes to woodland beyond. Also, there is a sauna, steam room and treatment rooms for official massages, facials, manicures and - well, you know what it is - pedicures.
At Bowood, the golf membership comes with a myriad of privileges, involving exclusive tee times and discounts across the resort. And what’s a golf course without a Pro Shop? Bowood offers a variety of golfing must-haves and gift items in a fully equipped pro shop just next to the range.
If you are looking to have a great day with society or just hang out with your albatross buddies, the special gold day offered by the hotel comes with first-class hospitality that will make it an experience you will find hard to forget.

Food And Drinks

Drawing inspiration and verdure from Bowood House's semi-legendary orangery, the hotel's Shelburne Restaurant is a rather grand sweep of a space, and truly so.  There is a row of French windows neatly put in place in a gently curving wall that is open on to a terrace, affording diners with views across the practice golf holes - the exciting experiences of albatrosses just swinging away on the greens.
You can have some scallops with pickled girolles to start, and follow it up with rump of lamb with baked boulangerie potato layered with more lamb, then blackberry Bakewell tart with pear sorbet to finish – well, it’s something fine but nothing so much as to gush about, really. Dishes at Bowood are fairly elaborate, and the portions served are really generous.
There are also some sensible plans to offer an all-day menu with more straightforward food options, and done so as to promote a more relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. And for that, you can then head next door to The Clubhouse Brasserie in the golf club, but, according to what has been heard, it's not an especially inviting space.

Breakfast is served in the Shelburne Restaurant, and it often comprises a buffet that accounts for the usual bases, including tasty fruit salads and pastries, and a wide choice of cooked dishes, including porridge, omelettes, and eggs Benedict.
Asides being a cutting-edge hotel experience, a golfing destination and a server of some of England’s best cuisines, Bowood also equally serves as a venue for weddings, product launches, and corporate events, thanks to nicely designed halls and a management team that's always ready to make your hosting remarkable.
