Nicholas Alexander Faldo, famous as Nick Faldo is one of the top golfers who occupied the professional number one golfer rank for nearly two years. Nick Faldo has won 41 professional tournaments which contain 30 European tour championships and 6 Major victories; three in The Masters Open and three in The British Open Championships. He won 2 of his three The Masters Open tournaments consecutively in 1989 and 1990, both by a playoff. The third master victory came in 1996 when he won with the margin of 5 strokes from Greg Norman. Norman started the final day with the lead of 6 strokes and still finished second when Nick Faldo outclassed him with the final round of 5 under par. Faldo won his first The Open tournament in 1987 with the score of five under par, Second time he won with 18 under par in four days and his final British Open victory came in 1992 with a score of 12 under par. His best finishes in the US Open and The PGA Championship is second place in 1988 and 1992. All his victories came after his longtime pairing with one of the best golf coach, David Leadbetter. David Changed his complete swing in the late ’80s and then Faldo became a top runner in every tournament. Faldo is considered a hero of Europe in the Ryder Cup and has won 23 of his matches in the event. Faldo has played 11 events of the Ryder Cup and captained the event many times. In 1998 Faldo won The World Cup of golf for England along with David Carter. The pair played 8 under par in four days.

Nick Faldo has designed a lot of golf clubs in almost 20 countries in five continents. His award-winning firm designs golf courses under the name of Nick Faldo Design. Faldo’s latest project is under a construction 18 hole golf course in Multan, Pakistan, it’ name is DHA Multan Golf Club. His masterpiece course designs are Chart Hills Golf Club, United Kingdom, Eagle Ridge in Philippine, Mission Hills golf course in China and Shadow Ridge golf course in California, America.

In 1996, Nick Faldo established a non-profit organization which conducts golf tournaments between the young players from 12 to 21 years old. This tournament hunts the top talent in different countries, the country level winners then participate in The Faldo Series Grand Final and then FaldoSeries Organization promotes the successful winning participants to convert their passion into a successful profession.

In 1998 Nick Faldo was knighted, Queen of England awarded him the MBE; The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. Before this, his name was inducted into the club of World Golf Hall of Fame in 1997. Golf Digest Magazine Ranks him the 18th Best golfer of all time. In Europe, he is widely considered as the all-time best European golfer.

Nick Faldo played very well in his prime and till 2003 he was finishing good in the major tournaments but since 2006 he could not make a cut in any major championship, between 2007 and 2015 he only appeared in The British Open tournament and could never make a cut. Now he is not playing golf and focusing on his career as a course designer and golf analyst, he appears on different TV channels during the golf season. Currently he is working with CBS sports.
