in 1971, he became the first player to win all the major tournaments 2 times. In 1978, he added four more to become the first to win all the majors thrice.

His earlier plan was to keep playing as an amateur and win a Major tournament like Bonny Jones, his ideal. So he kept chasing his dream along with a job of insurance seller. He was winning big tournaments as an amateur, one of the best events is when he stood second against one of the best professional Arnold Palmer in The US Open 1960. In that match, Jack was a continuous threat to Arnold Palmer all the four days. Palmer played six under in last round to make a difference between amateur and professional. Jack avenged his loss 2 years later in the same year when he out-stroked Arnold in the play-off and grabbed his first major trophy.

Next year, Jack Nicklaus won his second major tournament in April, he played 2 under par in four days to win The Masters Open. Surprisingly he missed the cut for the US Open in June where he was going to defend his title, he bounced back in July and came back strong to win The PGA Championship with the lead of 2 strokes. He finished 5 under par in 4 days.

In 1964, Jack could not win any major tournament. He finished second in The Masters Open, The PGA Championship, and The British Open Championship. In The Us Open, he could not secure his position in the top ten.

In 1965, Jack started the year very strong when he managed to wear a green jacket of Augusta along with The Masters Open trophy and a cash prize of $20, 000. In The PGA Championship, he tied at second place with Billy Casper but in 2 other major tournaments of the year, he could not stand in toppers.

1966 passed with 2 major trophies and high earning, Jack won the Masters again and became the first player to defend at Augusta. In The US open he finished second but in July he managed to win his first The British Open Championship and completed his career slam. He finished 282, 2 under par in 4 rounds. After this success, he could not grab the trophy of The PGA that year.

The year 1967 was amazing, an upset happened when Jack Nicklaus missed the cut on the second day of the Masters but later he won The US open on the last round when he played 5 under to push himself on the victory stand. The same year he finished second and third in The Open and The PGA, respectively. Next 2 years were a mixture of missing cut, top 5 and top 10 positions, without a single major victory.

After that downfall, Jack rebounded and won 11 major tournaments till 1986, to stamp his legacy and induction in the club of the hall of fame. He almost doubled his collection of major trophies along with bundles of bucks. He topped the rivalry of Big 3 with Gary Player and Arnold Palmer and achieved the title of The Best Golfer of All Time. In his entire career, he has summed 117 professional wins

Jack Nicklaus was master of fade and draw shots at his prime along with low trajectory and back-spin shots. He was the longest hitter of his time. His record, 341 yards, lasted for almost 2 decades PGA tours match. A great putter and pin attacker. He finished his regular career with a birdie in The British Open. Later on, he turned senior professional and won 8 tournaments.

Now he is designing golf courses and manufacturing golf sets under 3 brand names, Jack Nicklaus, Nicklaus Premier, and The Golden Bear.
