Word Golf Championship Dell Technology match play is being played in Austin, Texas March 28th to March 31st. 8 matches of quarterfinal have been over where 4 players have qualified for the semi-finals. Matt Kuchar vs Lucas Bjerregaard and Francesco Molinar Vs Kevin Kisner are going to compete today morning. Final and third position matches will be played in the afternoon.

Matt Kuchar defeated Sergio Garcia in Quarterfinal before knocking out Tyrrell Hatton of England in the group stage. Native Floridian Matt Kuchar’s best score in any major tournaments is second place in The British Open 2017 when his countryman Jordan Spieth lifted the title with the lead of 3 strokes. Kuchar scored the victory against Hatton with the score of 4 & 3. Sergio missed his momentum and lost with a margin of 2 down.
China’s Li Hatoang, the only man to score 4 eagles in a single round could not qualify for the quarter-final when Kevin Kisner excelled with a big margin of 6 & 5. In Quarterfinal Kavin Kisner surpassed Luis Oothuizen of South Africa, Luis Oothuizen is the winner of The British Open 2010 and stood second in The Masters Open 2012.
Kevin Na a Korean American professional golfer who won only 1 Asian tour and 2 PGA tours and his best position in any major is 7th in the US Open 2016 edition. Na shook the world with an upset win against the world number 2 Justin Rose when he won the match with the lead of 2 holes in the Round of 16. In quarterfinal, Kevin Na fell short against the world number 7 and the hero of the Ryder Cup 2018 Francesco Molinari who registered an easy win of 6 & 5 against the Korean born Kevin Na.
In the Round of 16 Italian born Francesco secured a win against Paul Casey of England. Molinari is current champion of The British Open 2018, He was 5-0-0 in the Ryder cup 2018 and was the main difference between USA and UK. He is the master of match play format and was part of 3 times Ryder Cup winning team. Another big win on his resume is Golf World cup 2009 where he made Italy the champion along with his brother Edoardo Molinari with the score of -29 under par.
World number 3 Brooks Koepka, who successfully defended his US Open title in 2018 and won The PGA Championship in the same year was out of the tournament without tasting a victory. He halved his first match against Tom Lewis who is 69th in the official world golf ranking. In the next two matches, Koepka lost against Li Hatoang and Alex Norén of Sweden who is 28th in world ranking.
The world number one professional Dustin Johnson was out after losing 2 matches against Branden Grace and Hideki Matsuyama. Grace won with the lead of 1 hole while Matsuyama did it with a margin of 4 & 2.
The world number five Justin Thomas could not qualify for the Round of 16 with the score of 1 win - 3 & 1 - against Matt Wallace, 1 lost - 3 & 2- against Lucas Bjerregaard and 1 tie with Keegan Bradley.
Jason Day who has won this tournament twice; 2014 and 2016. Now finished at the 61st position among the 64 players. He lost all 3 matches of the first stage. He lost against Jim Furyk and Phil Mickelson with the score of 2 down while Henrik Stenson handed him loss with the lead of 4 & 3.
