Golf Club Roundup

DOVE CANYON GOLF CLUB

Host to the 1993 Inaugural Pro Stakes Championship, an event that attracted golfers such as Craig Stadler, Peter Jacobsen, Fuzzy Zoeller, Chi Chi Rodriguez, and a field of pros in a two-day competition for $500,000 in prize money, Dove Canyon Golf Club delivers an exciting experience that is visually stunning, as well as challenging.

After the game, golfers can relax in the clubhouse, with Honduran mahogany paneling and soaring wood-beamed ceilings, inspired by world famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Los Angeles is less than an hour away from Dove Canyon Golf Club.

Ranked in 1994 by Golf Digest among the Top 3 golf courses in Orange County and among the Top 11 golf courses in California, this 6,902 yard par-71 golf course takes golfers for a breathtaking round past sparkling waterfalls and rolling fairways to greens so well bunkered, it tests golfers' skills. This magnificent Jack Nicklaus ‘Signature’ course – the only golf course in Orange County designed with the “Masters’ touch,” boasts beautiful lush canyons and stunning mountain views.

PETE DYE GOLF CLUB

From 2004-2009, Pete Dye Golf Club played host to an annual PGA Tour event. Sprawling over 250 acres amidst the Appalachian Mountains, the fairways bob and weave through Dye’s graceful earth sculptures and wildly rugged terrain.

During his phenomenal 2005 season, Jason Gore won the Web.com (formerly Nationwide) event for his third win on the circuit to earn a battlefield promotion to the PGA Tour. Guests can stay overnight in the Black Diamond Lodge, which accommodates up to 16 people, or one of the spacious three- and four-bedroom town homes.

No. 45 on Golf Digest's ranking of America's 100 Greatest Courses and no. 9 on Golfweek's ranking of the Best Modern Courses, Pete Dye Golf Club cleverly weaves rambunctious terrain and mining remnants into a course that tempts and tests golfers from the opening tee shot to the final putt.

ROYAL HAWAIIAN GOLF CLUB

With the lush tropical surroundings and few signs of civilization, golfers refer to Royal Hawaiian Golf Club as Jurassic Park, and it's a hit with most everyone who experiences it.

At Royal Hawaiian Golf Club, legendary golfer Pete Dye and his son Perry have infused crafty golf holes into tumbling terrain, framed by ancient jungle trees reaching upwards of 100 feet at the foot of the lush, spectacular Ko'olau Mountains on Oahu's scenic windward coast in Hawaii.

The back nine builds to an exhilarating finish, as it winds through leafy corridors to fast bentgrass greens. Golfers are challenged with tantalizing risk-reward scenarios, exemplified by the 386-yard par-four 15th and the 218-yard par-3 16th.

SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS GOLF CLUB

With towering waterfalls and shimmering creeks, Southern Highlands Golf Club provides breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the dynamic Las Vegas Strip. Southern Highlands Golf Club was in rotation for the PGA Tour’s Las Vegas event from 2000-2002, and hosts the annual Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters, which features the most competitive field in NCAA men’s golf.

The club also offers a caddie program, stay-and-play cottages and the opulent Spa Southern Highlands. From the rugged beauty of the Las Vegas desert, the family team took advantage of the mountainous terrain, designing exciting shots that must traverse rocky crevices and deep-faced bunkers, that protect spectacular, undulating greens.

Renowned as the top private golf club in Las Vegas and no. 35 on Golfweek’s Best Residential Courses, Southern Highlands Golf Club is one of only four courses co-designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. and his son Robert Trent Jones Jr.
